Why We Exist
Environmental Conservation
To protect endangered sea turtles and their natural habitats, and to conserve marine and coastal ecosystems, for the benefit of the public.
Relief of Poverty and Community Development
To support community-based programs in the Philippines that improve livelihoods, reduce poverty, and enhance educational opportunities for disadvantaged populations.
Public Education
To educate the public about marine and terrestrial conservation, endangered species protection, and sustainable community development
Foreign Activities
To carry out or fund programs outside Canada in furtherance of the corporation’s charitable purposes, with formal agreements, monitoring, and reporting to ensure funds are used exclusively for charitable purposes.
Limitations
The corporation shall operate exclusively for charitable purposes and shall not provide any personal benefit to directors, members, or other individuals.
Dissolution Clause
Upon dissolution, any remaining assets shall be distributed to one or more Canadian registered charities with similar purposes, as determined by the board of directors.
Sea Turtle and Habitat Conservation
We conduct and support programs that protect endangered sea turtles through monitoring, research, habitat restoration, and public education in Canada and abroad, while engaging communities and volunteers in conservation efforts to promote awareness and environmental stewardship.
Community-Based Livelihood Programs (Philippines)
We support initiatives that improve livelihoods, reduce poverty, and expand education and skills training for disadvantaged coastal communities in the Philippines, while providing funding, training, and technical assistance to partner organizations under formal agreements and oversight to ensure all resources are used solely for charitable purposes.
Public Education and Awareness
We develop educational campaigns, workshops, and materials to raise awareness of environmental protection, endangered species, and sustainable development, while promoting knowledge sharing between Canadian and Philippine communities to encourage sustainable practices and cross-cultural learning.
Oversight and Accountability
Maintain records, reports, and monitoring systems for all programs, domestic and international, to demonstrate that activities are exclusively for charitable purposes and provide tangible public benefit
